TraqCheck at RecFest 2026: our recap

On 2 July 2026, TraqCheck headed to Knebworth Park in Hertfordshire for RecFest, the UK's biggest recruitment festival. We were a Gold Sponsor, and it was our biggest event of the year so far.

About 4,000 recruiters, TA leaders and HR professionals came along. By the end of the day, our team had spoken with 226 of them at our stand. Here's what we got up to, and why RecFest belongs on every TA leader's events calendar for 2027.

What is RecFest?

RecFest is a one-day recruitment festival held outdoors at Knebworth Park. It mixes keynotes and panel sessions with an exhibition of HR and recruitment technology, set in a festival atmosphere with music, food and plenty of space to talk.

It draws in-house TA teams, recruitment leaders and HR professionals from across the UK. Because it feels less formal than a typical conference, it's a good place for open conversations about what's working in hiring and what isn't.

Our keynote: how AI is changing recruitment

Our Head of Marketing, Eleonora Rocca, gave a keynote on how AI is changing the way recruitment works. She explained how AI agents can now take on whole stages of hiring, from finding candidates to verifying them, and what that means for recruiters' roles.

Many of the people who stopped by our stand afterwards wanted to keep that conversation going and work out where AI could fit in their own process.

On the stand: live demos and 226 conversations

Our stand was built around one goal: to show people how our AI agents work, not just tell them about it. The whole team was on hand from the moment delegates arrived, running live demos of:

• NINA, our AI recruiting agent, which sources, screens and engages candidates
• TRACE, our AI background verification agent, which runs compliant checks quickly, with a human specialist reviewing every result

We scanned 226 leads over the day, out of an estimated 4,000 attendees. That's around one in every 18 people at the festival.

What we talked about

Three topics came up at the stand more than any others:

• AI in hiring: what it can take on today, and where people still need to make the call
• Trust in hiring: how to move faster without cutting corners on candidate quality or fairness
• Background checks: how to get verified results in hours instead of days, and stay compliant

These conversations showed us how much appetite there is for tools that make hiring both faster and more reliable.

Should you attend RecFest 2027?
